Quick Answer: A Meta Ads course teaches you to run paid ads on Facebook and Instagram: setting up an ad account, choosing a campaign objective, targeting audiences, writing creatives, tracking results and fixing what doesn't work. In India, a short self-paced course can cost under ₹6,000, while full institute programmes that include Meta Ads are published at about ₹25,000 to ₹35,000. The best way to learn is to run a real campaign with a small budget.
Picture a shop owner who boosts a post for ₹500, gets a few likes and no customers, and decides "ads don't work." Often the ads were not the problem. The setup was: wrong objective, no tracking, and nobody checking results.
That is the gap a good Meta Ads course closes. This guide explains what to learn, what the six campaign objectives mean, what courses cost in India, and how to practise without wasting money. I'm Abhishek Gupta, founder of Social Baniya Academy in Hisar. I run Meta Ads for clients and teach the topic, so I have a stake in this and I have kept the fee comparison based on what each provider publishes.
What a Meta Ads Course Should Teach

Meta Ads is the system behind advertising on Facebook and Instagram. A complete course covers eight areas. If a syllabus skips more than two, look elsewhere.
| Topic | What you should be able to do afterwards |
|---|---|
| Account setup | Create and link a Facebook Page, an Instagram account and a Business Manager ad account; give access to others; turn on two-factor authentication |
| Campaign structure | Explain the three levels (campaign, ad set, ad) and where budget, audience and creative sit |
| Objectives | Pick the right objective for a goal (see the table below) |
| Audiences | Build saved audiences, custom audiences and lookalikes, and set a geographic radius for local businesses |
| Creative and copy | Write ad copy and brief images or videos for cold, warm and retargeting audiences |
| Tracking | Install the Meta Pixel, set up events in Events Manager and check that conversions are recorded |
| Lead and message ads | Run lead forms and ads that open a WhatsApp or Messenger conversation, and plan follow-up |
| Reading results | Judge ads by CPL, CTR and ROAS, then decide what to pause, scale or test |
Tracking and result-reading are the two topics beginners skip first, and they matter most. An ad that you can't measure can't be improved.
The 6 Meta Campaign Objectives, Explained Simply

When you create a campaign, Meta asks for an objective. It tells the system what result to look for. Pick the wrong one and even a good ad underperforms. These are the six objectives as described in Influee's 2026 guide:
| Objective | Use it when you want |
|---|---|
| Awareness | People to remember your brand, and to reach as many as possible |
| Traffic | Clicks or visits to a landing page |
| Engagement | Post interactions, video views or page follows |
| Leads | Form fills, calls or messages |
| App promotion | App installs and in-app actions |
| Sales | Purchases and other conversions on your website |
Two practical notes from the same guide. For Traffic, optimising for landing page views is usually better than optimising for link clicks, because it counts people who actually loaded the page. And Leads is the wrong choice for selling a product directly, because a form fill doesn't tell Meta who will buy; use Sales for that.
Pro tip: A local business such as a coaching centre, clinic or salon usually wants Leads (forms or WhatsApp messages). An online shop wants Sales. Choosing correctly is the first skill a course should teach.
How a Real Meta Ads Account Is Structured

Theory is easier to follow with an example. Sneaker Studio is a D2C men's footwear brand that runs Meta Ads with our team on a budget of about ₹1,00,000 a month. It needed to scale sales profitably while customer acquisition cost was rising and few catalogue products were getting seen.
We set it up as a full funnel:
- Cold prospecting: new people who haven't seen the brand.
- Warm engagement: people who watched, clicked or visited.
- Cart-abandonment retargeting: people who added shoes to the cart and left.
- Catalogue sales campaigns with dynamic product ads, so each person sees relevant products.
- A creative refresh every two weeks, to fight ad fatigue.
ROAS moved from about 4x to about 20x, and cost per purchase fell from ₹650 to ₹100, as shown in the live campaign data of our case study. No single trick did it. The result came from a structure that matched each audience with the right message, and from checking numbers every week. That structure is what you are really paying a course to teach you.
Meta Ads Course Fees in India

Fees vary widely because you can buy three different things: a short course on Meta Ads alone, a complete digital or performance marketing programme that includes Meta Ads, or a premium programme. The figures below come from the providers' own pages (our own course is included and marked) and from IIM Skills' 2026 guide. Offers change, so confirm before paying.
| Type | Example | Published fee |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Ads only, self-paced | "Advertising with Meta" on Coursera (via Careers360) | ₹1,683 (1 month), ₹3,384 (3 months), ₹5,051 (6 months) |
| Meta Ads only, video | Hindi Meta Ads course on Udemy (about 3.5 hours) | Not shown on the page; check Udemy for the current price |
| Meta Ads only, live cohort | Meta Ads Mastery by Social Baniya (our own course) | ₹4,999 online, ₹7,999 offline in Hisar |
| Full programme including Meta Ads | IIM Skills | ₹24,900 (excluding taxes) |
| Full programme including Meta Ads | NIDE | ₹30,000 |
| Full programme including Meta Ads | WsCube Tech | ₹34,999 (including taxes) |
| Premium programmes | Kandra Digital (three programmes) | ₹50,000 to ₹1,50,000 |
Some institutes, such as Digital Trainee, include Meta Ads as one module (their "Meta Ads Mastery") inside a longer performance marketing course and don't publish the fee on the page. Always ask for the full fee, including taxes, in writing. For a deeper breakdown, read our guide to digital marketing course fees.
Red flag: Be careful with "100% placement" or "earn ₹50,000 a month in 3 months." No course controls the job market. Judge a course by the campaigns you run in it, not by its promises.
Free Learning vs a Paid Course: Which One?
You can learn the basics free or cheaply. Video courses and Meta's own help pages explain buttons and settings. What they can't give you is feedback on your own campaign, a person to explain why your cost per lead jumped, or an account with real budget behind it. Pick a short self-paced course if you only want to understand the basics. Pick a guided, practical programme if you want to use Meta Ads for clients, a job or your own business.
A 30-Day Plan to Learn Meta Ads by Doing

- Week 1: Set up. Create a Page, an Instagram account and a Business Manager account. Turn on two-factor authentication. Learn the three levels: campaign, ad set, ad.
- Week 2: Tracking and audiences. Install the Pixel on a simple page and confirm that one test event is recorded. Build one local audience with a geographic radius.
- Week 3: Launch one small campaign. My personal suggestion is ₹3,000 to ₹10,000 for a local shop, a friend's business or your own project. Use the Leads objective for enquiries, or Sales for an online product. Run two or three creatives.
- Week 4: Read and decide. Check CPL, CTR and results. Pause the weakest ad, keep the best one, and write a one-page case study: goal, budget, result and what you'd change.
That single case study is worth more than a certificate when you talk to an employer or a client.
7 Mistakes Beginners Make With Meta Ads

- Boosting posts instead of using Ads Manager, which gives far fewer controls.
- Choosing the wrong objective, for example Traffic when the goal is sales.
- Launching without tracking, so you can't tell which ad worked.
- Changing too much at once, so you can't tell what made the difference.
- Judging after one day. Give a campaign a few days of data before deciding.
- Ignoring follow-up. A lead that isn't called or messaged quickly goes cold.
- Never refreshing creatives. Ads tire out; replacing them regularly keeps results steady.
Meta Ads Courses at Social Baniya Academy
We offer two ways to learn Meta Ads, and I want to describe both plainly.
1. Meta Ads Mastery, a live cohort led by me and focused only on Meta Ads. As published on its course page, it has six modules: account structure from setup to advanced, the psychology behind buying decisions, three-layer funnels, creative strategy, a content planning system, and scaling and retargeting. The one-time fee is ₹4,999 for the live online batch (on Zoom, open across India) or ₹7,999 for the offline batch in Sector 13, Hisar. Enrolment is non-refundable and seats are limited, so read the page and check the current batch before you pay.
2. The 90-day AI-integrated digital marketing course, which covers Meta Ads along with Google Ads, SEO, Google Analytics, lead generation, AI tools and WordPress. It has 6 main modules with 16 sub-topics and is built from the campaigns our agency runs, with an offline batch in Hisar and a flexible online batch. See the curriculum page and the course page, and attend a free demo class before deciding.
Choose Meta Ads Mastery if Meta Ads is the one skill you want. Choose the 90-day course if you want the whole digital marketing toolkit. We don't promise placement or a salary with either.
